I reaffirmed my weight loss goals by writing myself a letter listing all the reasons to finish losing the weight. Thought I'd share it with you guys here:

REASONS TO LOSE THE LAST 20-30 LBS:
- To feel more confident.
- To feel beautiful and sexy.
- To feel the satisfaction of following through with a major life goal.
- To become more healthy, and save myself from the devastating negative effects of long term obesity (cancer, heart disease, etc).
- To be more stylish, and fit clothes better.
- To be more attractive to my boyfriend.
- To make myself and the people who care about me proud.
- To prove that perseverance really does pay off!
- Because I'm worth it; I deserve to be healthy and happy.
- TO BECOME THE BEST WOMAN I CAN BE, INSIDE AND OUT!

Also reaffirmed my diet- I'm back to calorie counting between 1200 and 1500 a day and journaling all my food intake. Once school gets less crazy (like that ever happens, lol), I need to get back into a regular gym routine once more. Feeling good about this new chapter in my journey!
173.6 lb Lost so far: 81.4 lb.    Still to go: 13.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Oh! And decided to change goal weight from 155lbs to 140lbs. Reach for the stars, right? :D

When I set my goal, I orginally wanted to just hit 200, then 190 then 185... now I'm 178. So what I am saying is that maybe you should re-evaluate your position at a certain weight(s) to see if you need to go further. I think your reasons are great, but I would move health to number one. If you don't have health... the rest are irrelevant.

I have 31 lbs to go to goal weight and have gotten lackadaisical and even careless in my weightloss goals. It is taking a whole month just to loose 2 lbs! Anyway, as I recorded my weight tonight I decided to browse around and read some other posts. I am so glad I read this one. I just wanted to thank you for helping me get back on track. Though my reasons are a little different than yours I will write my own letter to myself and begin again with the recording my food and counting my calories. After all, that is what I did to loose the most of the 132 lobs I have lost! Thanks again...I needed that...Tammy
