Hi all. Dieting going well. I have been busy writing, and keep getting reminded time is passing by. Another former neighbor in his mid 50s passed on a few weeks ago, he used to live in my building and was a veteran, and moved down the street to another large apartment building. I didn't know him too well, but he was quite easygoing and for quite some time dated a woman in my building. He had diabetes for one thing but wasn't terribly overweight. I know I must really watch my weight and take care of myself, I keep getting reminded by knowing so many neighbors who pass on, another also did about a week and a half ago too, but was older and I didn't know him too well. I live with 200 others almost, so this is common but I am SO READY TO MOVE. I hope to move this by spring. I will live in a smaller building, know less people and won't get caught up in all the drama of living in such a big place that I am totally sick of... On a good note I have been getting lots of writing done. I have so much stuff planned that I believe will be so different for reading and hopefully eventually be made into films in the coming years - I will be older of course by the time this happens if it does, but I sense it will happen. I frequently have dreams that give me ideas for stories that are unique and unusual so I am tapping into a good force of the universe. By the way, in the late 1980s I saw a spirit that walked across the room as I woke up, a figure surrounded by a line of glowing white light. After that, I realized there were definitely higher beings around us and I was fortunate enough to see one. Sometimes I feel no matter how far my writing is 'out there' it is being directed not totally by me... Have a great midweek everyone. I will try to get on buddies' journals in the coming days no matter how busy I am...

Yes loosin' - so much has come from things I seem not even know where the ideas are coming from and are quite original too. I hope you're doing well, I'm cleaning out my apartment closets of books and junk I'm tossing and getting rid of a lot of old clothes so that is keeping me very busy this evening. We're expecting rain for two or three days here - a tropical system so it should at least be warm outside...

Wouldn't it be great if one of those glowing figures magically cleaned our homes for us? Sounds like you are clearing out the clutter to open up the space for creative energy to flow! TOWANDA!!!!!

Lisa - that is so funny. I woke up while taking care of a very wealthy man quite early, just before sunrise by maybe a half hour so it was still dark in the area I was sleeping in. The glowing figure was transparent inside but had a sort of energy in it. It was quite close to me after walking near me, and halted when it sort of realized I'd spotted it as I reached out to it . I'd woke up and said, "Who's there?" before opening my eyes and seeing it. Anyway, it dissolved in front of me, so it was quite remarkable. I wasn't on drugs or anything and was mentally fairly stable then, I had a breakdown maybe seven years later.. Anyway, lots of cleaning got done and there looks to be another few nights of it - I've got fourteen years of accumulated stuff, much of which should have been thrown out ages ago...

P.S. Lisa and others who read this, there is an 'explanation' with the mental health field of sorts saying it is related to the dream state or some such nonsense. I don't buy it, it happened to me and was quite real. It was a very good thing for me too, so it was not negative in any way for me either; but I'm just relating an experience that to me was quite real...

Hi Glenn, I'm glad this post finds your creative "spirits" running. I am so impressed with how diligent you are with your writing. That break will come, Glenn, just be as patient as possible.
Our weather this morning (after the storm passed) was awesome. It was 72, low humidity, and I just stood outside for a moment and took it all in.
When I was a teenager, I was looking outside my bedroom window late one night and to this day, I swear I saw a UFO. I guess it could have been some USA plane or something, but I remember it was red then green and got bright then dim, stayed still in the sky for a while then slowly moved away. No idea if what I saw was a UFO or some sort of weird plane. Funny tho, I never forgot it.
Maybe that is why today I LOVE reading books about strange happenings and/or mystery. Can't get enough of them. Lately, tho I have been into John Grisham. He's a great writer and his books "move". Where as Stephen King, weird as his books are, writes so slow. In Gerald's Game, he wrote an entire book about being tied to a bed in a cabin in the woods. Now what kind of drugs was he on for that one. His books take a long time to read because they are strange!

Hi NN and info - it's raining here today but quite humid and warm and my pain isn't too bad, it's manageable. I saw the spirit in 1988 or 1989 - so it was quite a long time ago. NN - I saw a UFO over my dad's house in March 1995, but I was having a breakdown at the time so it probably wasn't what was there - to me after seeing that I thought the 'space beings' could make only those they wanted to see them able to do it... It was huge triangular and multi-level with lots of lights. I'll be busy cleaning again this evening but will try to get on buddies' journals when I'm taking breaks...

NN, my mother told me about an event in her life when she witnessed a UFO. I remember her telling me that she and a girl friend saw it so close, it was nothing they had ever seen before. My dad is retired Air Force and I belive this incident also happend in the 50's. I'll have to ask my Aunt where? It was either in California, Ohio or Texas.

Okay Glenn and all commentators, since we're talking about occurrances here is one of my out of this world experiences. For many years in my teens to thirty somethings, I used to experience somewhere between waking and sleeping a sensation of flying around out of body, and would hear a humming whirring sound in my ears as if it were circular vortex in motion. These experiences ended for good, one night upon waking when I saw my hand and arm go through my solid wood head board (the headboard wasn't looking solid) and ever since that memorable awakining I haven't had the gift of flight. It has been well over 12 years since I had another one of these events. OK,..... now I shared something that was a secret,.... :)

This is so great to hear others have otherworldly events happening to them, and they're not that unusual. I have to admit the spaceship I saw over my dad's house was as big as a large plane, and was really more diamond-shaped. Someone emailed sleep problems to me on my spam recently, so I have to believe someone who knows me thinks I'm full of it, and I'm not. I've had very vivid dreams too because of my meds I'm on NOW - lots of people who I don't know who seem quite real. P.S. Thanks everyone for checking in... :)

Hey, they have discovered a new planet, so who knows. I have believed since I was a kid that there is someone else out there. There is no way possible of all the planets and all the universes that WE are the ONLY living creatures around. NO WAY at all. Think about it, logically, in some form, there is other life, somewhere out there, whether it is far more intelligent than we are or not. THEY ARE OUT THERE.

NN - It is quite possible, but since mankind has only been civilized a matter of a few thousand years it's likely if some beings know we're here they're a bit more advanced since the universe is over 13 billion years old. And since mankind hasn't been destroyed if someone is out there they can't be all malevolent. Some people believe 'angels' exist, I heard of a woman in New Jersey in a college dorm fire lifted out of a dorm by a white-robed being. Also of a woman being guided by a presence down the stairwell in the smoke and she saw no one there when she got out of the World Trade Center during the attack there. I think we're evolving, and the higher powers out there are just letting it be...
