Today has been a day of taking stock! Been feeling fed up and demoralised at how slow the weight is coming off now. My negative mind says I'm sticking to the diet reasonably well and I'm now swimming at least 3 and sometimes 5 times a week but its so slow. Everyone seems to do so much more exercise than me and the pics show lovely slim people who run or walk miles.

My positive mind says slow and steady wins the race. Keep at it and you will achieve. Look how much you have achieved so far, give yourself a big pat on the back. 6 months ago you couldn't swim nearly every day and the first time only achieved 20 metres and now you're doing 100. 6 months ago you couldn't walk round a large store comfortably. You've dropped 3 dress sizes and even though you can't run or jog YET things are so much better. Knees don't hurt so much and walking is progressing.

All I need to do now is kick that negative mind out of town and make friends with positive mind and keep progessing towards my goals.

Today is a beautiful autumn day, misty first thing when I went swimming but when I came out there was sunshine, blue skies and leaves turning red orange and gold. The drive home was superb, hares were in the stubble left after the oats and the roe deer took off like a rocket as I turned into the lane. Even their baby born earlier in the year is able to run like the wind. Everything looks fantastic, God is in his heaven and positivity seems to be returning. Have a good day everyone.

You are doing such a great job! I think you have to stop thinking of your self on a diet. You have changed your way of eating and it is now a way of life, as is the exercise. Don't let the scale dictate your accomplishments. Your accomplishment is you have added so much to your life. You can go places and enjoy the world around you (and it sounds like a beautiful world). Keep moving and making good food choice and you will get where you want!

Wow!! Sweetie you have lost almost 90 lbs in less than a year!!! My oh my that is simply awesome! I hope I do as well as this year progresses! :) If you feel like you are plateauing (which it does not seem like you are) then try something to shock your body into losing weight faster. Some one suggested a high fat day (I dunno about this one) or try to do one long walk in a week to change up your exercise, or maybe a one day cleansing fast to reset your body. I think anything to jostle your metabolism a little will help. You are amazing!! keep it up, you have already proven you can do this, just keep plugging! The fact that it is obvious that you have made the lifestyle switch helps, I am sure!
