1st week - 1st bummer with my weigh in. I know the numbers aren't supposed to mean that much - but an overnight gain of 2 lbs...almost back where I began...is it normal?(not monthly dealio).
it felt good when the #'s went down all week - I was feeling encouraged. I've stayed on my no dairy/wheat diet + exercise plan - no cheats).
btw,
i'm SO cunfused with all the various diets/plans i've been reading about here at FS. i can't decide!
so many good ideas, and they all have their strong points. wonder what's best for 10 lbs to lose, mid life adjustment?
oh well, guess i'll keep learning...choose later, so much to think about:)
in the meantime just keepin an eye on the cals.
Enough banter - Today I have tons of laundry and I want to try my new music recording software before my workweek starts tomorrow. Oh, and gotta find time to work out too. Chin up, and progress on:).
128.0 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 10.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Don't let the scale discourage you! The scale always seems to have that effect! You sound like you have great will power and your sticking faithfully to your diet!! Your right, FS has so many diet choices! My two favs are calorie counting and South beach!! Good luck today!

Thank you for your comment and wishes of good luck. There are times when I would love to kick the scale right in it's numbers. (smiles) I shared with my doctor (years ago) about having the same problem as what you descibed and this seems so simple but here is what he told me...Always weigh first thing in the morning, before drinking or eating anything at all. This way you are getting a more accurate reading and your not carrying around extra weight of fluids or a meal. Also, only weigh once a week and don't expect any real changes for a couple of weeks as your body is ajusting to the new lifestyle...Simple, huh? I felt stupid when he told me this because it seems like I should have already known this. (giggles) I wish you well and many smiles. Katt

thank you Kat - I needed to hear your doctor's words - as I just wrote in my latest rant, I'm probably being impatient...1 x week weigh in - my new rule! Thx:) Ruth.
