HHHhhhhmmmm!!!! I don't get it. My weight actually went up yesterday and I ate really well! Ate a nice balanced breakfast, had a protein shake for lunch, snacked on a tid bit of a whole wheat chicken quesadilla, and for dinner had a butternut squash/mango soup, sandwhich (good fillings), spoon full of potatoe salad, and a half of a pluot (plum apricot cross). I even ate my dinner 3+ hours before bed! The bread for the sandwhich was a nice nut and fiber bread that I got from the health food store. The only thing I didn't do well with yesterday was drink my water.
Guess I'll be drinkin' water today and see what happens. I doubt it's 'muscle'! LOL

lol I'm sure it was prolly the lack of water coupled with the sodium. No worries, you can flush it away in a day or so! Was gonna ask if you are still tracking the calories on the plate? I am still shocked at the calories of the yummy protein shakes! And I use ff milk, and ff yogurt in mine, w/only 1 tbsp of p butter, berries, cinnamon and flax oil. ?? Keep on truckin' chicca!! You're doing great!

No...for some reason I haven't mastered taking the time to log my food intake and I KNOW it would help!

Id use your food diary. The only time I can afford a protien shake is when I'm eating too many low calorie veggies. I cant eat meat, whole wheat tortilla and whole wheat bread and have a protein shake, it would throw me off track for sure. Why do you drink protien shakes?

Also, you just mentioned yesterday that you had some unplanned eating and weight gain. Even if youre good teh next day, you could still be gaining some weight from those bad days. I call it the delayed effect. Sometimes teh bad food we ate on monday doesnt creep up on us until Thurs, fri. & Sat. And the same when we are good, we don't see results the very same day, sometimes it's 3 or 4 days after being good so many days in a row. I really would suggest using your food diary, or at least be totally truthful in your daily journal as to what you ate. I did that when I started here.

ImLuuvd...I drink 'Reset' shakes. They were suggested during a seminar I went to at a health food store. The author of a book about Metabolic Syndrome was the speaker. She suggested the shakes because they help your metabolism and they are made with healthy ingredients to include xylitol as a sweetener. Because I have insulin resistance, I figured this shake would be good for my breakfasts but now that we have dinner for breakfast, it's not really an issue as I get a good amount of protein in the morning. I had it at lunch yesterday because nothing else sounded good. I'm taking a weight loss pill, called zylorin, as an experiment to see if it really helps one lose weight. LOL It's all natural so that's why I'm okay with it. It has an appetite suppressant adn I think that's why nothing sounded good for lunch so I opted for the shake. I do need to get back on track with using my food diary. I don't know why I have such a hard time remmebering to use it even though I know it helps.
