So, now we've switched to an every-other-day style of fasting. This strategy seems to be more versatile as we travel, work and visit with folks. We can easily skip a day of eating to have a 3-day fast, or bump the schedule a day back to include dinner with friends.
Also, longer fasts are emotionally less satisfying since as your gullet empties you lose weight, but there is a large rebound as you refill your gullet after you begin eating again.
I'm hoping that the regular one-day-on, one-day off style will see less rebound effects.
That being said, the intermittent fasting overall works wonderfully. I haven't been at this weight since some time in the 1980s. In spite of excellent eating strategies, food supplements, regular (sort of) exercise, organic, non-gmo, etc. etc. etc. My desk job and work associated stress just slowly added up. No diet strategy worked. No doctor prescribed diet worked past the medications.
And, I just read a fascinating article that mentioned that even one day on a water fast significantly decreased some of the more challenging biome difficulties related to Cardio Vascular Disease. So, intermittent fasting has a lot to offer. I'm glad I did it!
