Ok, we realized that we just can't do a 7-Day Fast every week.
We are utterly useless for those last two days - sitting and doing indoor wood carving, toy making, etc. - but no farm work. No carrying heavy things, no hiking or fence-checking. Also, we're not really up to any heaving thinking on our last couple fasting days, either.
Decided to switch to a 3.5 day fast alternating with 3.5 days of eating. We're going to try to document every day of food intake to keep us from compensating from any perceived deficit.
We also switched our fasting days to Monday pm through Friday am. That will allow us to eat on days when we are working and volunteering on other farms.
Still down 17 pounds overall since we started in January 2019. So, that's still on track - and a miracle. I've been trying to lose this weight for a decade or more.

In my heaviest fasting I was only able to go 3-5 days. I tried one 12 day fast, but, it was 'mentally hard' on me. However, I try to minimize the days I am not fasting. For me, 3 days of eating are twice the 'set back' (weight gain) than only 2 days of eating. Good Luck!

I have read, can’t remember where, that if you fast longer than 48 hours you might run the risk of burning too much muscle.
