CJT1217's Journal, 19 October 2012

Happy hour ended up lasting 4 hours last night. Stuck with my low-carb drink option, had a super burrito minus the tortilla, and later I apparently had a grilled cheese spam-wich; 2 pieces of spam with sargento cheese in the middle. Ohhh man it was soooooo good!

Despite all that and 4 hours of sleep, I woke up lighter today, dropping back down into the 170s. Hopefully after running after work today, I'll be lighter for my flight physical tomorrow on my drill weekend. ooooh ya.

Happy Friday ya'll. It's my Thursday, I'm almost through too :D

I feel sorry for those who don't enjoy what they eat and drink when trying to cut down on the scale. I love my methods!

HMM! OOOH! I've got hot wings marinating in the firdge. I think tonight is a good night to grill those bad boys up. I have this yogurt based ranch sauce to go along with them. Since I have to work tomorrow, no partying tonight... I did MORE than enough of that last night hahah

Yup my new thing is a carnitas quesedilla. Nice and spicy so I don't eat much and low carb tortilla. Sounds like you had a great time though, be good for the physical and good luck!!

I'm actually sitting here debating whether a grilled cheese spam-wich sounds awesome or awful.......Hmmmmm, I may have to try it and see. I, too, love my way of eating that allows for the consumption of Spam! What is your low-carb drink option by the way? The hubby and I are going to try making White Russians tonight (viewing of The Big Lebowski may have to occur as well). Hoping that it goes well as I'm a bit sick of rum and diet. Great job on jump-starting your weight loss again and good luck to you tomorrow.

My low carb drinking option of choice is typically of the whiskey/bourbon family with Jameson as my go-to. I may go on the rocks, a shot, or mixed with diet coke or diet ginger ale. Although, most liquors by themselves are no carb, it's the mixed drinks you have to watch out for. All that extra sugar in the form of regular soda flavor adders like sweet and sour sure can rack up the carbs/sugars!

Hmmm. Whiskey. Yeah, won't be trying that. lol Just so you know, the low carb White Russians turned out really well. Quite tasty! We used Davinci's Kahlua flavor sugar-free syrup instead of regular Kahulua, which is loaded with sugar. It was a nice change of pace.
