Water fast for 6 days. Broke fast this afternoon based on really painful headache. Chicken bone broth for lunch with dried onion and 1 inch of shredded carrot, had a dinner of bone broth with tilapia, mushroom, 1/2 shredded carrot. Also three pieces of pork rind, some pecans and a piece of paneer cheese - 1 ounce.

I lost about 10 pounds on the 6 day fast, but we interpreted the headache as time to add solid food - we had planned on seven eating days and seven fasting days. We had done two 3 days fasting, 4 days off starting in January. But, you don't miss eating after only 3 days. Actually, you're not really interested in eating by the time you are supposed to resume eating, so we decided to go with a longer fast.
I felt great for most of the fast. After the 3rd day you aren't hungry, that's why I like the idea of longer fasts. I know that I will regain about 3 pounds as intestines fill with food. We worked out several times through the fast. I lost the most weight on days where I worked out - uses more of stored fat. The first couple days you can work out normally. But, you can get a bit light-headed if you work out with heavy weight-lifting, so we go easier at the end of the fasting.
Water fasting is much easier if you are coming from Keto to fasting, so you don't have the horrible carb withdrawal.
On the other hand, I been keto and low-carb for years. My diet is excellent. I work out, swim for more than an hour - and I just did not lose any weight!
Fasting appears to offer a solution. I'm really excited to think I'll finally be in charge of my body rather than a victim of some obscure reality.
Good Luck!

thanks for adding all the detail. Yeah I have seen people say that extended helps with breaking keto stalls. How often would you do this?

Hey there. In order to ensure we get good food and adequate vitamins, we plan to do one week fasting and one week eating a regular diet. Also, we plan to eat out once per eating week for cravings. We like Indian and Chinese - so we go into town and have our spicy food. That way our cravings are being met, no regrets. : ) Wish us luck!!
