Despite all the beer, whiskey, bbq, and indulgences this weekend (2 giant scoops of ice cream on a waffle cone for example) I came out relatively unscathed. I think the 8 mile hike at Muir Woods to the coast may have helped on that as well. It is all about balance after all, right?!

Hey - isn't your new profile photo in Yosemite looking towards "Half-Dome"? I hear that is one crazy hike to the summit! People climb on a sort of scaffolding on the final ascent - quite dangerous!

I absolutely love your profile pic. EPIC!

I love your new picture! I'm with Naiomy... ice cream does sound refreshing. Your attitude and success with maintenance sets a great example... thank you!

Ya! That was the year I hiked to the top of El Capitan (which I'm standing on in the pic). I had hiked to Half Dome the previous year :) It was no joke. Really good if you have a caribeaner to latch onto the metal rope leading up there. At times I swear it was almost 45 degrees going up that damn thing. But it was all worth it when getting to the top! Conquering mountains sure is gratifying >=)

WOW - that is totally great that you did both of those hikes! They are Big Ones!
