Whoo hoo...I lost again and it seems so easy...I wish I would have started this diet earlier...My girls stayed steady this week but their activity level should increase because school starting. I still need to increase my activity level though I did do some yard work and went on a walk this week..slowly but surely...I am happy that I have been able to stick with this diet...I have tried other diets and just couldn't stick with them but this seems pretty easy. I do realize that I am going to have to look for and add some health recipes to my "repertoire" or else I am going to get bored and may fall back into some bad eating habits which I don't want...I think it helps having our signed pledge to stick to the diet on the refrigerator door. I did have some challenges this week. My girls and I went to sizzler on Saturday, but didn't eat the bread and had the salad bar...I was really proud of the food choices my daughters made..then yesterday I went out to lunch with my hubby and had a turkey wrap which was huge so I only ate half and ate the other half for dinner because it was 910 calories...(for a turkey wrap!). I think one of the BIG things this diet has taught me is an awareness of calories. In the past I would think a turkey wrap is healthy and I would have eaten the whole 910 cal plus maybe some fries (hey I am eating a healthy turkey wrap so I can have fries) and the whole meal would be around 1500 calories...way more than I eat in a whole day in just one meal...no wonder I have gotten sooo fat. Another good thing is that I am thinking more about not only what I cook but how..I cook for my family of 6 (and sometimes a few of their friends) 5 to 7 nights a week and I have really cut a lot of the fat out of our meals and switched to whole grain low cal bread and pastas and they have all eaten without complaints. I hope it continues to go well...I don't want to feel tired, drained and fat anymore. Good luck all.
