Hello to all you kooky, happy, and health focused people!!

Life never slows down. Why is that? Sometimes you have to jump off the ride to get a break. That's what yesterday was for me. Although I did get some stuff done around my house, for the most part, I just relaxed. After mowing the lawn, I grabbed a book and a glass of cold ice water and sat out by my pond and read and let the sun do something with my very white legs. I'm kinda looking at this week as just that: a time to relax and refocus. My bible study starts back up next week and I've got a camping trip planned as well, so life will come rushing at me soon enough, but this week, this week is mine.

Some cool news, my son decided he wanted to get in better shape. Now, he's eleven, so I think this is a bit pre-mature, but I'm supportive because I'm hoping he'll learn some good habits. My gym opened memberships up to ten year olds, before the age limit was twelve, and he loved the idea of getting to go workout with me. He had a lot of fun today running around trying all the machines and finding out what they do. I just hope he doesn't get bored too soon. I need to get him an armband thing for his ipod. He's not in bad shape, he's about ten pounds overweight for his age and height, so I'm hoping he can maintain his weight and let his body grow into it. Unfortunately he came home from the gym and immediately wanted to eat a candy bar. His eating habits suck!! We argue about it all the time. Kids!

Nothing much else going on with me. I had a small loss this week and I'm determined to get back to under 50 by Monday. I will succeed. YEAH!!

7 Things I'm Grateful For:
1. My son - because he makes sure my life is never boring.
2. Idaho Athletic Club - They are only a few blocks away, now accepting membership for kids my sons age, and have a really good facility, they just need a basketball court.
3. Burn Notice - Season four started this past Thursday, great premiere, without a doubt one of my favorite shows on TV. Michael Weston rocks!!
4. Sandal Weather - Although I tend to wear sandals all year long, it's great when the weather finally cooperates and my toes aren't cold.
5. Avenue Online - Because they have tall jeans for someone my size.
6. Ted Dekker - Great author who confuses, confounds and then enlightens me.
7. Philippians 4:19 - A constant reminder that God is taking care of me.

Trust in God steadily, hope unswervingly, and love extravagantly.

Relaxing is soo important and yet seems to get put off until later (which never comes). I have started trying to take some time every day to disconnect and enjoy the day. I will go sit on the edge of my deck in the backyard and watch the birds, trees, bugs, etc. Look in the sky and picture the cloud animals. Try to recapture my youth and just have some "nothing" time. Enjoy life, you deserve it!
