2 more pounds GONE! What a great feeling. I hopped on the scales this morning and they said 257.2 but I just recorded 258 on fatsecret. I bought some of that heavy whipping cream for my coffee but I forgot it at home. I will be sure to bring it tomorrow because I am out of my sugar free hazlenut after today. Oh I found these broccoli & cheese for one things in the frozen section and they just have 4 net carbs. I am going to eat them with my lunch to try and get in more veggies.

My husband started Atkins yesterday but he doesnt want to do strict induction - just low carb. He is doing really well but he feels bad. I can understand that. I had a headache my first 3 or 4 days and felt exhausted. I told him once he gets the sugar out of his system and his body gets used to his woe he will feel better. I feel sorry for him because he works construction and it's a little hard to pack a lunch low carb when you don't have access to a microwave. Does anyone have any ideas as to what he can bring for lunch in a little cooler? I was thinking salads with grilled chicken or maybe wraps with that low carb flat out bread? I made us pizza's last night with that flat out low carb bread. YUMMY! It was nice for a change.

It is sooo nice to be in the 250's instead of the 260's!!!

Re your husband... The book mentions taking in some extra salt during the initial periods of the diet to alleviate the 'atkins flu' as they call it. They specifically recommended broth. Good luck to him!

Amanda first of all congratulations on the two pounds you are doing so good girl. I pack mim (pumpkin) with SF jam for my guy..they are filling. I also pack cheese and any cold meat I have but the mim's are his favorite. I tried to find hazel nut coffee creamer but the SF are loaded with carbs..what brand did you find low carb..I may be able to get it here in Canada. Take care. :)

Hi Lenny - I need to make a MIM - haven't had one yet. The Sugar Free coffee creamer I use is Coffee-mate Sugar Free Hazelnut and it has 2 carbs per serving and a serving size is 1 tbsp. It does have carbs and that is why I want to try and use the whipping cream instead. I have been using the hazelnut and losing weight but I might do better without it. LOVE MY COFFEE!!! I seriously wouldnt make it without my coffee. I can't get the hazelnut creamer sugar free in my town. I have to drive 45 miles south into Texas to get it. Our town is small and our stores don't even carry low carb tortillas. Even the whole wheat tortillas they carry have over 18 net carbs.
