CJT1217's Journal, 14 August 2012

I think my shoulder's inflamed. When I raise it, especially laterally, I get this dull to slightly sharp pain. Gahdangit. Maybe I've been doing too many pushups or was too aggressive with my shoulder workout? Looks like I gotta take it easy there as well. Although. I did pump out 30 pushups with my elbows close to my body this morning before showering and that felt ok. *Sigh* Adapt and overcome. At least I dropped a couple lbs after this past weekend. With no exercise... And with eating nacho cheese doritos. Sweet!

You make the losing seem so easy! lol. Sorry about your shoulder, you just can't win. Hopefully the calf heals up and you can switch to more legs and give the shoulder a rest?

Looks like you may just have to take it extrememly easy for a while or you will just keep falling apart! You need to heal even if it means being extra good on the food front and just talking some walks, etc. And yes you dropeed with that good eating but no it's not like you had NO exercise... we all know you better than that :-).

Yaaaaa. Typically when I work a lot and don't sleep so well or enough, my immune system weakens...must be the same for the body. Goes to show that we all need our rest! But ya, I'll go walk up some trails after work tomorrow. That should help shed off some of the water weight. Lunch today should be good, I was inspired to make a low carb tortilla-lasagne dish. We'll see how it turns out! With a blue cheese salad and berries, it should be quite yum.

I liked it! I went all basic training on it and inhaled it without looking up once >=)

Ouch - shoulder pain is not great...and your calf muscle, too. Ouch! Look out now, or you will be like 57 year old HCB! I wake up creaky knees and hobbling around saying. "OMFG, what the hell was I thinking yesterday jumping around like a fool?" But, of course, I stretch out and just try to do it all again!

haha ya. Stretching. I always forgot that part! Thanks for reminding me of that important post workout step!

Don't you wish a bit of duct tape would work on our bodies? Hope you get better soon. At least your tummy should be happy with the lasagne, and I second the vote for a food review.

If only! Ya, the tortilla-lasagne came out pretty good for being low carb. I just swapped out the noodle for my low car high fiber tortillas, threw in some ground turkey into the marinara for some extra protein, kept the usual ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses and BAM! A cheesy, protein, low carb alternative (12 net carb per serving) lasagne was created and enjoyed. Now, I did only do 2 layers, instead of the usual 3, but it was still a worthy alternative :)

I just printed this and added it to my notebook of meal ideas. Thanks.
