amanda123's Journal, 24 May 2010

I did really well all weekend except for last night. My family had a fish fry and I had several pieces of catfish. I felt greasy and I had heartburn afterwards but it was GOOD! I lost weight this weekend. I'm sure this will throw me out of ketosis but I am going to try and not stress over it. I'm not sure I drank enough water either. Weekends really throw me off.

If you had to overdue on something FISH is not the worst! LOL. That is one thing I have noticed Less heartburn. I take a RX for it but I have not had to take as much extra med's as I used to. I like that T-Shirt. I got one when I started this diet that says "IT'S ALL ABOUT ME". It sure gets a lot of attention. As MOM, WIFE, DAUGHTER, FRIEND,blah blah, blah. it's about time I (WE) put ourself first! Now as climb down off my soap box. Good job Amanda!

LOL! Cute shirt. Yes the fish wasnt the worst thing to splurge on. The Zatarains seasoning had 5 carbs for 3 tablespoons. I probably didnt go much over one serving. I did pass up the home made french fries. Go me! It is all about me... well mostly... I do want to set a healthy example for my kids but this is about me. I am sick and tired of feeling fat and ugly. I want to feel good about myself and know that I beat this weight problem on my own! No pills, just me!

You go Amanda. I, too, am doing this for me this time around. I have sruggled for the last 37 years, and no more! I am going to get healthy and in the process I will become thinner. I will never be skinny, not in my genes, but I can be a nice size 10. And I will be happy with that. I have gone down from a 22/24 (I think, I was scared to buy anything new, didn't want to face the tags) to a 16/18 since January so I am almost half way there. Keep up the grea work and congrats on hitting the 20 lb loss milestone!! Doesn't it feel great?!?!?!?

PS you need to change your starting weight, so that your weight chart and ticker reflect your hard work!!

I wanted to change my starting weight but I wanted to back date it to May 3rd when I started but it makes me choose today??? Any tips???

Go to weight history, click on change starting weight, and then in the calendar box, click on the date. Use the arrows on the bottom corner or top corner (can't remember which) to change the months.

Well I did that but then when I get to May 2010 and try to click on May 3rd it will only let me choose todays date. I don't want to make my new start date today.

I just had to keep on messing with it for it to let me put my March date in. :)

I went to change start date and clicked like crazy. It wouldnt let me do it so I just put my 288 start weight in just to see and I said I was gaining 23 pounds a day so I cancelled it. Oh well it's not a big deal to me. In 2007 I started at 269 went down to 217 then got back up to 288 in 2010 and now am 265. I am going down and that's all that matters to me. I will play with it more and see if I can get it to work.

When you go to weight history, scroll down and you will see enter historical weights, try that. Or try using change starting weight.

That is what I clicked the Historical Weights, that will fix it for you. The dates will then turn into a Link and it will let you fill in the Weight.

I worked with it and worked with it. My only option was to restart my diet with today's date and put in my current weight and I was afraid it might erase all my hard work. So I just went to change my start weight and put my start weight in 2010 in 2008 so it look like I starte out at 288 in 2008 even though that is not true but it helps show my progress anyways.
