Still headed down - yay! I did go up a bit on Monday, but didn't get a chance to log in and record it, but today I was back down. I'm now below 340!! I haven't been this weight in about 10 years. This is so cool. I keep getting compliments and showing off my new clothes is so much fun!

We had a bit of hectic evening yesterday. My son got in trouble with the law and then get mad because I grounded him and punched a clock. He ended up cutting himself pretty severely and we had to go to the emergency room. We were in and out pretty quick, but then not long after we got home he started bleeding really bad again and had to go back and get him looked at again. It was a very emotional and stressful night. Oy. He's fine, he's going back to school tomorrow and hopefully he's learned a very important lesson about his anger.

7 Things I'm Grateful For:
1. My son - He absolutely drives me crazy, right up the wall. Yet, there is nothing more precious to me. He is God's greatest gift to me and I love him so very much (even though I now have to get that clock repaired).
2. Emergency Room Nurses & Doctors patience - I'm was FREAKING out. When I say he was squirting blood I'm not exagerating. There was lots and lots of blood and it was gushing. He was crying and saying he was sorry and I was crying while trying to keep my head on straight. We both thought he'd sliced a major artery in his wrist and he was so scared on the way to the hospital that he'd die. The nurse was so patient with us and our crazy emotional state.
3. My mother - While I was dealing with running him around, she cleaned up the broken glass and all the blood. She was calm and collected and that allowed me the opportunity to freak out.
4. Crying - Sometimes we just need to get the emotions out and its better than screaming.
5. Oranges - Oh man are they yummy and getting me through some temptations.
6. Smaller Sizes - I am loving getting to do some shopping.
7. God - Because He loves me, my son and everybody else and was so looking out for that kid yesterday. Considering what my son did, the injury, although very bloody, was actually pretty small and will only leave a tiny scar and no permanent damage.

TRUST IN GOD STEADILY, HOPE UNSWERVINGLY, LOVE EXTRAVAGANTLY!

Oh bummer. I'm sorry for the stressful night, my sister did the same thing (to a window). My sister did MANY things that I learned from -not to do. I hope he did learn his lesson, and I admire you so much for turning to God, even still during the tough times when we could question him or give up instead. Kudos to you and your weightloss... you sound good! and bonus, its always so wonderful to recieve compliments!

That was quite a night!! Great job on your weight loss chart ... keep it going!! Very exciting to have people notice and even more exciting to notice yourself!! I do hope your son learned a lesson ... how old is he?

He's 11. I saw the first signs today that he's learned a lesson. He got mad at my niece for eating his cheetos and slammed the kitchen cabinet door. He immediately apologized and recognized that he shouldn't have. Hopefully this has taught him the dangers of his temper. Personally, I always hated being grounded so my parents only had to threaten and I would straighten up. I'm not sure what to do about his rage, but we have decided to spend the week praying about it and get together next week to make some final decisions.

Wow, that does sound like a horrible night! I am sure that your son will slowly start to see that anger isn't the answer. I can tell you though it is very hard to work through, but he is lucky your patient. I was a very, (can still be) angry child, I have a short fuse to this day and every day I struggle not to pass that on to my children. My mom was hard to deal with because she was worse than me. So he is very lucky to have you, stay strong for him and I pray you work through this with him. AND on another note, nice chart, and love that new picture!! You look so happy! Congrats!
