If you don't like the weather . . .

There's a saying in Missouri, if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes. Today it got up to 67F and was sunny and gorgeous. I just went to walk the trash around to the curb and it's pouring out and thundering. The temp has already dropped to 39F and it's supposed to drop into the 20s overnight. The forecast high for tomorrow is 32F. What the heck is going on?!!!

I am just waiting to see what the precip will be...rain, snow, or ice! Crazy...it is still 59 here right now, but we are on the down hill slide!

It was funny here too. First it was kind of cold, around 28, then it went up to 37 within an hour at 7 pm. Then the snow started. Wonder how it will look in the morning. It is supposed to turn into snow but who knows. Be warm and safe wherever you are :-)

Where are you Jozette?

Both of you stay warm and safe. I have to say, this fall and winter has been some of the craziest weather I have ever experienced, mainly because of the warmth . . . now this pendulum swinging . . . hot, cold, hot, cold. You don't have time to adjust to either one.

That is exactly what we were talking about earlier today. I went for a walk today, and it was gorgeous!

I know! As far as I can tell, the weather patterns are very weird all over the world . . . freezing in florida, out of season tornadoes in places that normally don't have any, heat where there should be cold, extended droughts, extended floods. None of it makes any sense. I have to admit, it's a little scary.

Bonnie, it has been the oddest year for weather I can remember in a long time!! I just wonder what the summer is going to be like!

Oh Stef, I hope things settle into a little bit more normal by then! I'm off the sleep, perchance to dream. See you in the morning dearest friend!

Crazy like this in MI as well....don't know what to wear when you leave the house in the morning, it turns out hot or cold by the afternoon. Keeps us on our toes......

Well, they just issued a tornado watch for us until 7 am...there is a nasty looking line of storms just to the west of us...guess I will be sleeping with one eye open. Sweet dreams my sweet friend! Hugs and lots of love!

Do you live in Missouri Johanne? I am in Kansas and that saying is so true. High 60's yesterday and today... the high of 23!! LOL My hubby was doing landscaping in our yard yesterday, putting red border rocks around our Mimosa tree LOL. I went for a walk at 5:30 pm and it was chilly by then, but still okay. Stuck inside today.

Good morning, Bonnie! Thought I would add some more weird weather to the list. I went to bed with snow on the ground and got up to the sun shinning and snow all gone, high winds and already 43 degrees and it's only 9:23 AM. Says the weather will get up to 55 degrees. I think we get a delayed reaction from your weather. Hope the high winds dry up the mud left behind from the snow. HA HA! This time two years ago we had about 3 feet of snow on the ground that stayed until March. Hope you don't get a tornado. Those things are scary. HUGS!!!

Yvonne, the whole world has been experiencing weird weather for a year now . . . starting LAST winter with the mega snows.

Stef, I checked . . . no tornado warnings on this side of the state. Wow! I hope you're OK. I got up too late to watch the news. Love you too!!!

Is, the same to you. In my bio pic I was at a great wedding. We were all having a blast.

Christy, I'm pretty sure we live within an hour of each other. I'm about 34 miles east of KC. I can see I-70 from the back of my house. You live just southwest of KC don't you? We're in the same weather zone. OMG! It's cold out there today. There's ice wherever the storm last night left standing water. AND THE WIND IS BLOWING AGAIN! I can't get used to the wind here. Back home I only got to hear my wind chimes in March. The rest of the year they never moved. Here the wind blows them right of their cords within a year.

M2, we had the same thing last year. I had never seen so much snow since I moved out here 17 years ago. I have pictures of my neighbor up to her hips in it and our cars buried. This year we have had 1" the entire winter . . . so far. Enjoy your warm weather. This horrid cold is right behind it. It's like a roller coaster ride! Hugs back at you!

We're even having nutty weather here in Canada...usually we go below freezing by November and stay about 10deg below freezing for daytime highs throughout winter (except for the occasional cold snap)...but this year we have been hovering around freezing all winter, until this weekend...saturday night it dropped to -30C (-22F), only warmed up about 6deg during the day and got even colder over night...we are having -34 to -36C (-29 to -33F) overnight and not warming much during the day, it is -28C (-18F) right now...this isn't totally out of the ordinary, it's our usual cold snap but what an extreme shift...no one, including the vehicles, is used to the cold and it is effecting peoples attitude...and not in a good way...like you guys said, strange weather all over!! Have a great day, and thanks for commenting on my journal. Later.

Madjak, that's what's so scary about this whole last year. The changes are global. I don't see how it's possible for the people who don't believe in climate change to keep their heads in the sand. Yes, we have had major climate shifts in the past, but they happened over Milenia, not in a 10-50 year span. Thanks for friending me.
