Hospital today again. Travelling was awful as although its thawing during the day there are still high banks on the roadside which keep falling down onto the road and as it was an early appt. there was still black ice about. Endoscopy today - not a pleasant procedure but everything was fine and the results were OK. I didn't think I was stressed as I was fairly sure the results would be fine. We had to buy lunch out and the chicken and salad sandwich on wholemeal bread was good but then I stuffed 4 small apple pies down my throat one after the other without stopping to draw breath. Then came the guilt and the 'I wish I hadn't done that' I thought I was past all that....Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

On the way home we stopped to walk the dog up a little lane and stood and watched a pair of hares playing in a huge snowy field. They chased one another round and round, back and forth, rolling over and sending up sprays of snow. It won't be long before we see them 'boxing' in the meadows. Weather forecast for the weekend is more snow and gale force winds! Lovely

been there with the pies...sigh....all you can do is plan better for next time. A pot of soup on the stove indoors on a weekend with snow and gale force winds is always like good medicine to me.

Sounds like an "exciting" trip if nothing else! I don't know about you but I could use less excitement myself! LOL Glad to hear the endoscopy went well. Hope the snow misses you by miles and miles this time around and the wind is a whisper! You are right-tomorrow is another day. :) Hopefully you can stop and really enjoy the pie next time one very small bite at a time, savored and eaten with relish!

I'm glad to hear that everything is fine flaxseed. Consider the 4 apple pies (sounds great to me) as your reward for having endured the procedure. There will be plenty of time later to take care of that.

one procedure at a time!!! Your weather does indeed sound challenging!! We still have little snow but lots of ice!! Spend absolutely NO TIME beating yourself up for the pies. This is a life long journey and you are still doing so well!! Stress is stress and we do what we can to manage it. MOST of the time you do not stuff pies into your mouth mindlessly. I agree with Dawn, I hope next time you savor each and every bite!!! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and OH ... I love the story about the hares!!
