Rckc - go ahead and eat a cookie, just make sure you cut something else out to keep your caloric intake in check which is the ultimate decider between losing and gaining weight.

sorry Life but I know what happens when I START eating cookies, I am unable to stop at just one. I am working on moderation but aint there yet! Hope to one day be able to eat like a "normal" person. My husband eats a cookie occasionally, no big deal but not me, not yet...

LOL! See, it pays to be truthful! I had no idea that this pic got posted. I was trying out buttons on the app. ---there it is. Sooooo, I had a cookie today. Actually I had two. I only purchased this tub for thanksgiving guests and never got to bake them, so now I must get rid of them somehow....... the laugh is on me. I could not figure out why you all were talking cookies!

I've learned to treat sugar and flour like cigarettes or any other addictive substance. There is no such thing as Moderation for me so it's just abstinence. After 6 weeks of saying no to those 2 things I'm not only down 17 lbs but I really don't care about them most of the time and when I do their voices are very low in my head and can be easily ignored. Now movie popcorn? that's a beast to be tackled another time :-) Carry on and best of luck to you.

Toll House cookies! OMG! It's what I looked forward to when I went to see Aunt Elvira! She would smell up the house with those cookies..from scratch! They didn't have premade in those days.. But, I'm like Selbygirl..I can't live in the Moderation world. I either will do it or I won't. And Selby..MOVIE POPORN..I dream about that. I will be having some on December 26 when I meet classmates for lunch and we head to the movies afterwards!

The only thing that saves me from popcorn is my dental bill. Otherwise I would be all in!

Speaking of popcorn....I had quite the binge (3 nights in a row) this summer and immediately developed diverticulitis. Horrible pain, screwed up my gut flora, more pain, diarrhea. Swift punishment. Haven't had since....Geesh!
