PoulC's Journal, 03 December 2016

I had a nice 65 minute trail bike ride this morning. I took it easy on the sore left knee. There were a couple places where the mud or sand was thick and I ended up walking instead of powering through it. That's probably how I hurt it originally last weekend. BTW, this little nugget of cycling knowledge: If you pedal harder with your right leg than your left leg, you will NOT end up going in circles. Just thought I'd throw that out there, if you were wondering. :) Have a great weekend!

Funny, you post about exercise and no one seems to care or chime in - you post about food and people light up. ???

I love my trail bike and I use it a lot during the summer months going through the woods and such. Riding through mud is a workout. :)) Kudos on the 65 minute ride! You are doing great buddy.

I am back to walking outdoors even though it is cold and windy....I am getting used to it! Sounds like you had a good time!

Not funny at all Ollie. Call me crazy but I have found through extensive research on the subject that people seem to like food just a little more than exercise. Don't go poking the hornet nest. People are supporting my physical activity just fine. Iulani, when I lived in central NY a million years ago, I'd go running in winter and have to kind of sip my breaths for fear of hurting my lungs with the frigid air. Just getting out there and doing SOMETHING is better than nothing at all and gives one a sense of accomplishment. Keep it up.

I am jealous because you live where it is warm enough to ride!

Yes the weather is great this time of year in FLA. Summer time is oppressively hot though. You have to make the best of what you've got.

I'm going to assume that "exhaustive research" was tongue and cheek. I live in a hornets nest so I don't mind remodeling every now and again.

Yeah... I'm cheeky, as you know, Ollie.
