Big Boy Optimus's Journal, 01 December 2016

My weight this morning is the same as last week at 99.7kg.

I'm going to see how today and Friday goes and weigh again on Saturday morning. If my weight is lower then I'll record that weight but if not I'll just record today's weight :)

Either way I'm still maintaining under 100kg even with life being hectic and not allowing me to make time for the gym in the last 2 months!

Not sure if I can do a low carb day today. Mom cooked mutton breyani the other day and there's still so much left over. I hate wasting food. Maybe I'll just make today my high carb day but carbs from rice, fruit and veg. No bad carbs. I'm really craving apple and yoghurt!

But a better choice than bread, right? I think rice would fit in with having a high carb day as part of a carb cycling regimen which kinda is what my Monday to Thursday falls into. Usually I'd eat cake, bread, pizza, roti, etc. on a thursday but lets see if staying away from wheat today will make a difference, if any.

Take out the fruit eat the mutton and green veg - take away the rice )if you can pick more meat then rice ) just to eat leftovers .... ... and fill up boy. be clever

Yoghurt -- is good - go greek its better and heavy - will fill you up better.

Eat with chop sticks, that way you can't shovel the rice. Just teasing BBO...I know Indian families meals consist of the staple rice. Just a bit of tongue in cheek humour. I know you have made many changes and I salute you for that. Small steps...eh ;-)

Liz and LCFF u girls make a great team of support :) I didnt eat any wheat but I did eat rice and had ice cream but without the cone with sugar free choc syrup :D I know I know, I shouldn't have had the ice cream but the mutton curry for supper was a big too spicy(mom tried a new chilli powder lol). I did enjoy my apple and yoghurt snack between my two meals. Today is fast day :D I'm going to attempt making Sunday as my low carb day.

Great Ill do the Sunday Low carb with you . My fit freak friends are having a Pizza Night can you imagine that ,, and if I dont eat some carbs they will kill me lolol So sunday will have to be my day to get back on track for the new week . Lets do this .. ahhhh the ice cream Big Boy. try frozen yoghurt :) its almost the same

Well it was an ice cream called Burnt Almond and had almonds in it. Almonds are healthy! LOL! How many grams of carbs is your low carb day Liz ? I'll aim for 50g or lower.

lolol ok so you are dismissed with that lol (the ice cream ) My carb intake depends i guess on my day i think i go a bit lower then that during the week ( I dont eat wheat or pasta or potatoes sometimes i even rule out sweet ones but thats me so dont compare please remember everyone has their own diet and i actually eat according to my blood type too . but 50g is good for a big boy like you .Its great if you can keep that up really , you should be proud .

Yes I totally agree. I've had days of 100g of carbs and its still better than 500g of carbs but I'll try limiting to 50g. I've had days previously where I would keep carbs to under 30g on a normal eating day. Lets just see how it goes :)

Always listen to what your body tells you - if you can manage less its ok - if not help your body remember that . And if you are training its obvious that your intake can be much more then that .
