Hi, I've been on Fat Secret more than a year but never had a "buddy," When I began I had a BMI of 29. Last Christmas I weight 184. I am 5'5". Today, I am 161.4 lbs. It's been a slow loss but over the last 2 or 3 months, I am losing faster. Two things have accelerated this more rapid loss of weight: I became a real vegetarian. I say "real" because I am not a cheese and crackers vegetarian...I am actually learning to cook gourmet vegetarian food. It is so nutritious that my body is requiring less food to be nourished and satisfied. The other "trick" is to drink tea off and on all day long: white tea (the least caffeine) or green tea. I don't know why this helps but it does and I thought I'd mention it. I am in no hurry to lose weight but I want to see a steady decline and so far, the numbers don't lie: they are going down and it's due to lifestyle changes as opposed to being on a "diet." Diets generally set us up for failure. I know because in the past I tried many different types. I don't count calories and I eat as much as I want...there's hardly no such thing as overeating veggies and/or salads.
