bradleigh07's Journal, 21 November 2016

My hypochondria has kicked in full force. The last 2 hours at work, my feet had a dry feeling and felt like they were wet. (like when step in a puddle of water and walk around in a soggy ass shoe) I know diabetics have more problems with their feet, so this is unnerving for me. I cannot and will not leave my kiddos parentless. I'm just pissed at myself for cheating here and there.

It's time to get back on track, and FOCUS!!!

It's pretty cold and dark out here tonight, so I feel like 2 30 minute target toners with Denise Austin might be the trick until winter is out of the way.

Sorry I seem like a whiny titty baby, I don't have anyone I can vent to.

I totally get it... I slipped up tonight... We were having nachos which can be made super healthy if done right and even with a plan, I fell to the allure of cheese and sour cream. I am feeling so sick... Not to mention that I had WAAAAAAYYYYY too much pop today and for that I am ashamed.... Back on track as tomorrow is a new day. We got this, girl!

I know, I'm just terrified of going to insulin resistant.

I had (and sometimes still have) those diabetic hypochondria moments - feet get cold (oh no blood flow), eyesight is not as sharp, etc. It is maddening and you can never completely quash the feeling. If you were recently diagnosed, then you probably are not experiencing nerve damage yet. I keep a log of basically everything I do - food, exercise, blood sugar. In that log, I have a notes section that I share with my doctor each visit. There is a great app for Android and windows called memento. It is a basic database program that stores everything in the cloud. It can (and I use this) link to googledocs spreadsheet. Then I can print that log and take to my doctor. If you are interested, I can mail you the details (which include a template for a memento health tracking database). Use your doctors, keep them informed. When I finally found a good one, it changed my diabetes care.

I was diagnosed borderline diabetic and had sleep apnea plus high triglycerides in a family where most of my family have died from heart problems. It scared me badly that I would leave my babies without anyone. So that is why I chose gastric bypass because I felt I couldn't wait to get the weight off but now I have to find a lifestyle to support the weight I have lost and keep losing the last 57 pounds so that is why I chose Keto. I have terrible undiagnosed stomach ailments and it is made worse by grains and sugar so this program is helping a lot so far.
