finally.. today I start more of a keto diet, and will be tracking my food and pre planning.. hope that is the answer.
249.6 lb Lost so far: 51.4 lb.    Still to go: 74.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 12.6 lb a week

I have never bought the strips to check to see if I'm in ketosis, but I keep my carbs under 20 a day and it is working for me. I hope it works for you as well.
