Happy Hump Day!

I got up at 3:40am :( At least I had plenty of time for my morning workout...did cardio with hand weights, and kickboxing.

I also took some time to look over my October food logs. Since October 1st, I've been under 1000 calories every day except for one, and my daily average is only 589 calories. I'm going to work on adding more healthy calories while keeping my exercise routine as it is. I want to be lean and fit, and areas of my body still need more toning.

This morning, I'm having a blueberry/apple/kale smoothie for some good energy, but still need to decide on lunch and dinner.

Have an awesome Wednesday!

Good morning and Happy Hump Day to you too! I could take a lesson or two (or 20) from your recipes/cookbook, because you always are making something yummy! Sounds like you need a few more good calories in you though and those workouts will keep you in a deficit, don't worry!

Yes, I had been noticing that my deficit was a LOT considering the exercise I do. I'm still going to be low cal, but aiming for a minimum of 1000-1200 daily..certainly not 300-500. @shapeshift - Thanks! the smoothie was really yummy. I make a lot of different flavors, but this is probably my favorite :)

Great job VeggieJ. My sub 1000 calorie journey started 2 days back and I still had PLENTY energy to knock out 10 miles each day. Keep it going!

Thanks Ches! I had a lot of energy on my very low calorie days, too :)

If you are working out, you might need more protein and that can be good calories.

I found a really great vegan protein powder at Costco. Orgain is the name of the brand. Great for a pick me up in the afternoon.

I'm think so too, Zak! I may try to have one daily :)

Me too!! I just gotta be careful with the carbs, I looked over your calories last night, you are a machine.

Great work - I learned you can actually have too big of a deficit and the body holds on...I agree with you a slight calorie increase may continue to move things along - you want want to feed the lean body mass, too.

@HCB - I'm not actively trying to lose any more weight, and am thinking of changing my goal weight and moving into maintenance. I lose weight very quickly when my calories get too low. I will keep doing my hard workouts to tone more, so I may still lose a few more pounds from that :) My hubby will not be happy if I lose much more.

Yes - I didn't think you were trying to lose any more - just build lean muscle. need nutrition to keep the muscle.

Yeah, no more 200 calorie days for me. Now just focusing on shifting parts of my bod back where they should be, lol
