This is frustrating! I'm adhering to low carbs, and have seen a drop in blood sugars, albeit still a bit all over the place but none too too high... I've reduced my calories by it seems 3000( previously those snack size haloween candies were easy to pop in 5-6) and because my knees really inhibit my exercise.. I walk 2 times a day for about 1/2 mile.. and yet the scale is stubborn.. wt?? Gonna keep at it..

It takes time. Don't be frustrated. During this summer, it took more than one month for number on my scale to really get changed. I was doing everything right and strictly disciplined myself. Well, during that miserable month, the scale just did not change at all. One day after one month, the digit finally went done by 0.2lb, and after that it just kept going down. Up to now, I have lost like 10 lbs.

Thanks! I have never actually dieted or counted calories before and my weight would flux by 5-10 lbs.. over the last three years I've become prediabetic and I need both knees replacement.. getting weight off my knees will help for sure but I don't want to become a type 2 diabetic.. so am focusing on the low carbs. I so love carbs! I'd love to hear from people who Like myself just cannot up the aerobic exercise and lead a somewhat sedentary lifestyle.. maybe I need less than the 1600 calories I've been allotted although I rarely eat above 1500 in a day. I also think I'm going to weigh in weekly , daily is too discouraging and first thing upon waking is Like so in my face!

I am over 50 and staring at pre-diabetes. I found that the 1500 calories a day was too much for weight loss. I need to keep it between 1200-1300 and exercise. If you can't walk (much), try yoga or even lifting small weights. Both yoga and weight lifting can be done while seated. Keep it up.

I can't lose at 1600. I am 64 and sedentary. 1200 is the most I can eat and then lose really slowly. You will figure out what works for you. Don't get discouraged.

Im 55. I was running into alot of health problems. I was 338 when I started this diet, for 6 months I started having 1400 cal a day .Then every 6 months I droped 100 cal now I stay at 1200 and eat fruits, vegs, grains, and meat. I do walk alot with my dog daisy. I think everyone needs to find there happy new eating habits. I also think fat secret is a very good place to start. It has helped me so much. I always read other people's comments, but always use my own judgement . Every day I track everything that I eat an record it on fat secret. I enjoy reading everybody's thoughts and comments. I wish you well and if I can help, just ask.
