The PT got pretty technical in explaining the problems with my shoulder today, and while I can't replicate what he had to say, I got the general gist of it. My shoulder is not in great shape -- and it's not just the current injury, which no one can fully diagnose because they can't see it because of the metal fixing the previous injury, but also because there are arthritic changes that are likely causing problems. On the other hand, I have pretty good range of motion, and the pain isn't all that bad -- although the reality is I'm so used to having pain in that arm, that I hardly notice anymore. Anyway, I understand a lot better what has to be done and why, and I feel pretty good about the rehab process. Now I just have to figure out how to pay for it. I will work on rehab this week, and next week I'm hoping to go back to skating. The arm won't be perfect, but I'll keep working on it -- hopefully by Thanksgiving it will be well on it's way to mended.
