The chips for dinner today were potatoes cut into chip shapes and boiled for 5 minutes. These were then spread out on a baking tray with small amounts of olive oil, salt and pepper added and then they were baked in the oven until crunchy. Thought olive oil would be lower calorie than vegetable oil, but when I checked it out the calories were the same. Sigh! I shouldn't have had a full plateful of chips.
