They are really good considering they are a raw food!

Now, you've got my mouth watering. Did you use the nibs?

No, I completely forgot about them because I made these late last night. I'll add them next time :)

Raw dates? Correct? I love the taste of cocoa. I use Dutch cocoa powder.

I use packaged, pitted dates, and TruVibe raw organic cacoa powder and nibs. It would be nice to be able to find fresh dates, but I haven't seen them in the produce section.

I bought packaged dates a couple of weeks ago. Hubby loves eating them.

I've never eaten one, but use them a lot for baking. I would guess they are a good substitute for candy?

Yes, they are. They are super sweet. I use the gingerly in some recipes. If you have a sweet tooth these are great. Plus, you do get fiber too. :))

I rarely have a sweet tooth, but I'll have to try one the next time I make the brownies :)

I don't either and if you do decide to try one make sure it is only 1/2 of one. They are really, really sweet.....insanely sweet.

They are pretty small, so I may try one. I can't imagine that they have much flavor since the brownies only taste like cocoa.

I think they add texture and sweetness more so than taste.
