Well, stumbled a little again! Dad was in Heart Hospital this weekend. They say he has 60-70% blockage in one artery and the other side is completely blocked. They are to schedule the next "event" to work that artery. Hmmmm........didn't make "bad" choices..... Waiting tensely doesn't help with your WOE at all!! But, I brought some lo-carb pecan choco-chip cookies to the hospital (for mom) and dad ate ALL of them after surgery! They brought him peanut butter cookies, chips, and a sub sandwich.....WTF!!! He is home recovering and we await the next series. Bless us all!

Make sure you get checked out too, Ron. One of my buddies got completely out of breathe trying to climb the hill to the Hollywood Bowl, and next thing you know, he is in Kaiser getting a triple bypass. His father had had two triples. One my good friends didn't take his doctors advice, and I visit him where my wife's father rests. Sorry to be so blunt. I am filling out my Advanced Health Directive today, and getting it notarized for my surgery, Friday.

Whoa. A few years back, my father couldn't walk 5 steps up our driveway without complaining about being out of breath... Triple bypass was a few weeks after that. Life is precious.

Thx all! I am glad I am currently under Dr supervision thru this type II, weight issue-thing. So far no surprises for me (except for that FEB 8th day of diagnosis). I am sooooo thankful that many of these "concerns" are better for me now! All of my FS Buddies have a place in my heart!

I understand having eating challenges when you are stressed out! I hope your Dad has a good recovery and lays off the junk food.

Hospital dietitians are forced to comply with the National health guidelines, sadly. A stumble isn't a fall, Ron. You're a veteran at this, and know how to recover. You and Angie are superstars in my book! Now, to get the parents with the program....

My BIL had a heart cath today, placed 2 stents and ballooned another minor spot. So glad medical science has figured out a way to treat these conditioned. 25 or 30 years ago they would have just died.
