Great first week even knowing that a large part of this loss is extra water weight. Hopefully my body doesn't brake back to it's 1 pound a week pace. Hope the damn rain stays away so I can get out of the house for some exercise. Determined to try and maximize my weight loss between now and year end. I have to thank everyone for their words of encouragement over the last 6 months of my dismal ups and downs and large weight gain. It meant a great deal and helped me get up the courage to face yet again another try for the goal. I hope everyone has been having great success. Here's hoping we are all much closer to our goals by the Holidays. For now, I will take it one day at a time. Thank you all again :)

How fast the pace is will be determined by the size of the energy deficit. 500cals/day is 1lb a week, and 1000cals/day is 2.

Nothing wrong with a pound a week! Down is the goal. Be patient with your body when it changes pace. You've got this!

Don't forget that one pound a week is 50 pounds in a year. It is hard to keep the long game in mind sometimes but that is a great goal.
