Well, IF rocks. I may not be eating enough on non IF days but I wasnt hungry. I probably need more fiber. I can't get wrapped up in being perfect. I will just try to get used to the eating pattern and then I will improve the food choices. More water. more fiber, getting my macros right. I am not eating badly but you csn always improve. I had zucchini noodles yesterday. I was shocked that I loved them! I can't stand zucchini.

Shelly, for the longest time I simply listened to my body, I ate when I was hungry, when I craved meat, I ate it till my body was satisified. When I was not hungry, I did not eat....which was a considerable amount of time. Once you eliminate all of the blocks that inhibit your natural satiety signals (mainly sugar and wheat). It's much easier to hear and trust what your body is telling you.

I IF for 25.5 hours yesterday due to hubby working over. Did a whole lot better than I thought i would. Hubby can do it with ease. I have never been able to do it. Mind over matter. Had to change my food diary because the amount of food I entered I could not do. I got full quick and stayed that way. Because he will be home earlier, we will eat at 4:30. This will be a short day but get back to 24 tomorrow. We can do this. Debra, you are an inspiration.

You're onto it NY! Get the "when" down first, then work on the "what". I started out eating whenever I was hungry whether it was a 5 or 2. Water breaks helped. Once I adjusted to that, I started shrinking my eating window. Kick the door in on the 290's!

Well, this is an interesting change of pace. I quit taking my insulin on Saturday and today I didn't eat lunch (too busy) and I noticed I was shakey...lo and behold my BS was low 72. I still take my Janumet (Januvia plus Metformin) but with this way of eating I was able to say goodbye to the insulin. Usually I only had blood sugar drops if I took too much insulin. Sorry to blather on so much lately but I guess I am excited to see results!

You may need an adjustment on the Janumet Shelly, it may be time to start cutting back the oral meds also, keep a frequent check on your BS and track your ups and downs till you see a pattern....too bad FS does not have the features of tracking your Blood Sugar levels along with your meals, seems like that would be a very handy tool to have. I know you think your doctor would be aghast at your taking your health into your own hands, however, when it comes to adjusting oral meds I would give them a call and see what increments of reduction are recommended. WTG on ditching the insulin. If you are following LCHF AND IF, you are putting very little sugar into your body right now....if no sugar goes in, you should need nothing to remove it, so the oral meds might be removing too much of what IS there and its causing the drop.
