The new avatar looks like the early stages of your new project. Here's to a bountiful garden.

Thanks Sarah :)
Hi ChicaLean, yep..my project for the day. My other is removing dead leaves and trimming shrubs in the front landscape beds. This = spiders...terrifying but a fun show for my neighbors, lol

Good grief...is gardening considered a workout? I've put pea gravel around the paving stones that are between rows, loosened all the soil, fertilized and watered. I'll plant this evening or tomorrow :P

Yes, gardening is a WORKOUT! After my hike this morning hubby and I started working in the yard/garden. He was doing most of the work though.

Hehe, the way it should be (just kidding guys!). My hubby is doing a lot of work, but at hunting camp. I worry about him since it's so hot, but he brought a big cooler of water. He refused to put Himalayan salt in it though. That's usually how I replace electrolytes rather than Gatorade.

Himalayan salt? What exactly is that, and what makes it different from regular salt?

It's pink. I'm not sure if there's a difference other than that, it's just what we have at home..that and sea salt :)

Oh, ok. I don't add salt to most of my food/dishes because I am sodium sensitive, so I don't know much about Himalayan salt.

I'm with you. I don't add salt often, but hubby likes it on potatoes or eggs so I keep it around

Finished planting..swiss chard, kale, lettuce, spinach, and beets. I have a couple of empty spots so may add garlic later. The back of the garden is still filled with sweet potatoes that I planted in early summer.

Just love sweet potatoes. I love oven roasted sweet potatoes/beet mix.... add rosemary, thyme with a little olive oil. Delish!

Glad you are enjoying the outdoors...we are having a gorgeous day, but WINDY...so I am hunkered down finishing my bedroom/craft de-clutter and then I am starting a sewing project (kitchen apron) for my nephew's girlfriend. Have a great day...just finished an incredible salad and I feel GREAT! No workout for me today, I am taking a day off. But a nice early evening stroll will be a nice way to finish out the day!

Sounds like you are having a great day iulani! I'm inside for the day so will start on my craft closet and magazines next. I may do a quick workout later, but it's iffy since I'm pretty pooped. I love aprons! I wish I had the skill to make them :)

Actually, now it's upper 90's, but just until Monday.
I love baked sweet potatoes too, Arabella66! I bake them and sprinkle with cinnamon
