Had my first class at my new gym last night! Super small group, only four of us. Did snatches, ring dips, and overhead squats, all of which were new to me. I've never done any work with the bar before, so I spent a lot of time just learning the proper form. Loved it once I got the hang of it. Apparently I have super good mobility, which makes learning much easier. And I gotta say, doing those makes me feel like a total badass, lol!! I think this is gonna become addictive.
Today though I am soooo sore. Was going to skip the workout this afternoon, but my sister convinced me otherwise. She also started a new gym yesterday, so now me and her have an unspoken competition going... But I'm so glad that she likes her new gym too. She's much heavier than me, and I always worry about her, because she's already got a bad knee and some other health issues that are related to her weight. I never talk about food or her weight with her, because it would just upset her. But now, with us both doing similar workouts, I can use that to share tips, and she's got a nutritionist too, which should help. We've set up a file for us to share recipes as well, which I'm pretty excited about!
