Went to the Dr yesterday and by their scales I have lost 29 lbs in 3 months and 60 lbs, since last year!! 314 to 254 So my scales weigh me 3 lbs less than the Dr's. Which scale should I go by??

There are a couple of factors to consider. When I goto the doctor it tends to be later in the day after i've at least drank something. i'm not naked when weighing at the doctors office.

Way to go Connie! I always go by the scale I can get up in the morning and stand on. Dr. office is in the day, clothes on, maybe after you had coffee...throws things off!

I agree with the above comments, especially consider the weight of shoes -- that can add up! One way to get a better comparison is to come home directly from the dr. office and weigh, still wearing the same things you had on there. I would still go by my home scale and just be happy the dr. also shows such a positive change!! Great job!!

I always schedule my doctor appointments for first thing in the morning, skip breakfast, and only have enough water to swallow vitamins. No caffeine, either, as it messes up your pulse and blood pressure readings. Just bring an apple or power bar and a bottled water, and once the nurse has checked your stats, chow down!

Oh Cool! Excellent job. I know the scale at my D.O.'s used to drive me crazy so i just stopped paying attention to that one. but since i'm at the Weight loss clinic now, i go by their scale. It's the one they're recording and besides, my home scale died recently so kinda no choice. I'm gonna have to figure something else out when all this is over. but that's not for awhile yet. I'll just keep going by clinic scale and only weigh in once a week (usually). This will help me keep my sanity, too.
