Did banded deadlifts for the first time last night. Very cool! 225 lbs. on the floor, 365 lbs. (approximately) at the top of the lift. The weight on the floor was 56% of my 1 rep max. The point is to have to fight against a sudden deceleration at the top of the deadlift as the bands tense in order to help improve your acceleration as your gluteus press your hips forward just before lockout. It also helps with your speed off the floor, both which will carry over to being able to move more weight later.
