Back to the real world today. Was an eventful weekend though… Friday night date guy was terrible. He showed up two hours late. We were supposed to go bowling, but he brought a game counsel over instead and proceeded to play video games and get trashed on a fifth of jack before passing out on my couch. Winner. I don’t know how I find these people. Needless to say I will not be seeing him again.
With that in mind, I was feeling super unsure about going on another date with another guy, especially since I hadn’t met the guy I had plans with on Sunday in person yet. Decided to cancel on him and drive up to visit my parents instead. So I gave him a call while I was driving to let him down. However, while we were on the phone, I passed a car and the driver looked a ton like him, so I asked him if he was driving on the highway, and sure enough, it was him. So we took the same exit and grabbed lunch. Spent three hours talking over lunch, so I decided to keep our plans for a picnic on Sunday. Which was an excellent choice. We went hiking on this gorgeous trail around a lake, and then he took me to an old fire watch tower to have dinner and watch the sunset. We met up again Monday to go to the county fair.
So that’s exciting. But I need to be sure to nip my unhealthy habits in the bud. I can still date someone without falling into bad eating patterns. Just because he can live on burgers and fries doesn’t mean I can. He’s an EMT and is on his feet all day and works like 80 hours a week. That’s a bit more activity than me, lol!
Which brings me to my goals for the week: Get one after-work bike ride in, pre-plan meals and follow plan through Friday, hit the gym at least three days this week. And get enough sleep. I feel like my hours of sleep keep getting shorter each night, which is not good.
