I know what you mean. I ate a whole frozen pizza last night and lost a pound this morning. Sometimes the insulin gods have mercy.

I have a horrible love for pastries and cakes. ...my dad brings them home at least once a week, it's a killer

Good weight loss after a splurge! A splurge every few weeks is okay; as long as it's only 1 day in that week. If you know a party etc. is happening; bank you your calories. Eat considerably below your RDI before the event and after if it happens in the middle of the week.

Well, if they are a common presence in your home, you know there will always be more in the future. So if you choose to skip a portion, or have to throw some out for "going stale," there will always be more down the line, so you are not missing out permanently. Looks like you are doing a calorie count diet, so I suppose you could always just log them and try to work them into your restricted calorie plan. That particular WOE doesn't work for me, though. I've drifted over to the LCHF/IF camp, so my pizza was a departure from my perferred WOE.

Yeah, I've been trying to skip the sweets or fit them into my allowed calories. It's hard but it has worked in the past. This time I'm having trouble balancing and figuring out what is a good rdi for me. But so far I'm doing well, I try fluctuating every day so I trick my metabolism lol. It's trial and error, but this time I'm doing good. I love food and refuse to give things up...I use substitutes and portion control. Thank you all for the positive feedback, it's really helpful!

omg pastries!!!.. I can avoid meat or super fatty stuff just fine, but I'm helpless in front of a croissant or a little apple pye or anything of the sort... so far the only thing that had work for me is : NOT BUYING IT ..if u have other ways to diminish those pastry cravings, feel free to share them along pls.. :/

I've been making my own sweet mix that has helped skip the sweets. I mix fruit flavored Kix, fruit flavored cheerios, dried fruit and granola. 1 cup is approximately 120 calories and low in sugar as well

Cake and weight loss? I love it! Life is too short to pass up cake. Not on a fast day but yes please!

Rachealrae I'll def have to give that a try, ty. Five two cowboy life is def too short and if I stop eating what I like I'll give up so portion control is my way. Can't give things up lol!
