I have officially hit my goal of dropping 50 pounds in 7 months. This last week has been hell on earth. Tomorrow is my final weigh-out day, but I was able to weigh-out today instead, one day early. I am awaiting my confirmation from Healthy Wage, to put the official "ok" on my submission video, and then wait for my 2,300 dollars! I'd love to say something real flowery, you know...like how the desire for a healthier lifestyle is what drove me to lose the weight. Nah. It was the thought of the money, always on the tip of my brain that kept me in line. This is what I did. Let me say again...this is what I DID, not what you should do, I ain't no expert, lol! What works for some doesn't work for everyone. I ate a lot of lean steak, chicken, baked fish and salads. In general, I didn't eat past 5 at night. I turned down a lot of engagements. I mean, a LOT. I knew I wouldn't be mentally strong enough to say "no thanks!" at birthday parties, barbecues, etc...so, I chose to stay home and not go at all. When a craving hit, I'd wait like 15 minutes to see if it passed. If it didn't, I'd eat a much smaller than usual portion of whatever I was craving. I drank a ton of black coffee and black tea. To speed things up during plateaus (I hit em 3 times.), I did the horrible GM diet twice (also known as the sacred heart and cabbage soup plan.) It was gross as hell. It worked. Toward the end, I experimented with weight cutting, not to a severe extreme, but enough to get the job done. That's why I dropped fairly rapidly this past week. I'm excited to head into maintenance, but I want to get my weight down to 135 before then. I am just relieved to not be under the gun anymore. Roulette table, Salamanca casino, look out! ;-)
146.2 lb Lost so far: 8.6 lb.    Still to go: 11.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Thank you! :-) @dollbaby...in all honesty, had I not been putting quite a bit of money on the line, I would of had a much more difficult time losing that weight. If my health was a better priority, I'd of lost it years ago, but it simply wasn't (it is now.) My honest advice is this...focus on what you can do, and do that as effectively and as often as you can. For example...it's a really common observation I make where people are killing themselves trying to exercise and maintain a healthy eating lifestyle. Not me, no thanks. Why? Because I become overwhelmed as hell. I knew if I tried to incorporate some exercise regimen while trying to actively drop weight, I'd be toast. It's simply too much for me to handle. Not to mention, I gave birth to twins recently and right after that, I had to have 2 back operations. Exercise wasn't exactly at the top of my list. But I COULD really nail the nutrition aspect of it all, which I did. I plan on working out in tbe fall, to tone up. Also, find something you really love to eat and do it daily. A lot of people think you have to have this massive amount of variation. The more options I have, the harder it is for me to decide and make a decent choice. So...I ate damn near the same thing every single day. I figure, I used to do that with pizza, why not do it with steak? I love steak like I love pizza, so I ate it like pizza. You seriously can lose that weight, hell, I've seen people drop way more than 50 in way less time. But not me. Hell, I ain't no over-achiever... ;-)

Stephen! Thank you! I had to do some emergency weight cutting toward the very end, lol! Nothing says "dedicated" quite like sitting in a bathroom, in a scalding hot water filled tub, in WINTER CLOTHES, with a HEATER running to boot, oh my holy God...you should've seen me slithering out onto the living room floor like a hot, fevered snake, what a SIGHT! So glad that foolishness is done and I can go back to decent eating and losing 1 or 2 pounds a week. What a relief!

Ha ha, Congrats on that! You got your look back! Just a hint, Craps. Bebe, Craps! But not at Indian Casinos.

Craps?! Don't know nothin' 'bout no craps! ;-) I only know roulette, it's just so wonderful, it's got a real ambiance, lol! Bunch of sweaty drunks pawing all over each other, everyone trying desperately to get their lousy, sticky chips on the table before last call...and you want me to switch to craps?! :-) @EDC...thank you!

Craps is actually the best odds in Vegas to play. Actually, a pretty simple game, but you can increase your odds with it at specific hotels. Stratosphere maybe the best. It takes a bit of cash to play effectively. It all has to do with getting 10x odds behind the pass line. Most casinos give you 5x. Craps closest game to even odds in Vegas, if played correctly.
