Did the hike after all!
3.7 miles up and down the ridgeline including learning how to "sand ski" down that slope in my hiking shoes and using my trekking poles! Details at this link:

I will be putting up videos on Youtube and blog posts up about this trip.

When I got home I had a big plate of beef steak with veggies, a bowl of beans and 2 corn tortillas washed down with milk. Plus a banana and a big apple.

Btw, lunch was a Mcdonalds sausage burrito.
After my late dinner I rode my exercise bike for 28 minutes, 5.45 miles and burned up 200 more calories.

So today I ate a lot and exercised a lot. It is 10 pm and I am not drinking any coffee or eating until after 10 tomorrow morning, I will be very interested to see the weight in the morning.

Breakfast was steelcut oats with raisins and a banana cut up, 2 boiled eggs and whole wheat toast. About 5 cups of coffee with honey and NDC.

Off today and tomorrow. Was hoping to maybe returning for another ridgeline hike out by Palm Springs, and still may, but felt like I was getting a little arthritis pain in my right ankle yesterday. In addition, I am fighting a cold. Maybe I will just see how today goes, just do some errands etc.

That sideways walking down that steep mountainside on that loose sandy surface is what probably irritated my ankle and next time I won't forget my headlamportrekking poles either. Just in case I get caught up there after sunset which does come early now.

Planning and logistics have obviously never been my strong suits. And next time, I hope to take a little more time and do some better quality videos.
Feel free to go to this link and watch both short videos of that downhill trek. Do not watdh though if you are prone to vertigo! Appreciate any comments as well.
