flaxseed's Journal, 20 October 2009

Well, I totally went off the rails today. I didn't eat anything nice I don't usually have and would really have enjoyed, I just wasted calories. I can't believe I was so stupid. If I'd had splurged on something delicious it wouldn't have been so bad. Oh well its done now and I can't undo it, so its back to the grindstone tomorrow.

Its been an odd sort of day today. Went to the garden centre this morning and bought some bulbs and we decided to get rid of our second car. It originally belonged to my mother and although it was quite old had a very low mileage. We just couldn't keep on paying road tax, insurance and MOT costs when it had only done 800 miles in the last year. It wasn't worth anything so we decided to freecycle it and a very grateful chap came and collected it today for his wife. It was sad to see it go, but it was necessary. I think it was this that made me want comfort food. I'll just have to wait and see what damage I've done.

According to the weather man we can expect rain for the next couple of days, so the bulb planting will have to wait.

Keep smiling

how very generous of you to donate your car to a family...that in and of itself makes up for the bad eating...have a great day and start afresh with the next bite...

ah ... Flaxseed ... whatever the "damage" is tis only temporary!! No worries ... just move ahead. I've done the same thing ... ate but not really enjoyed anything tasty ... just self-medicating. It happens.

You might just be surprised! Sometimes when I indulge, the scale is very forgiving. Good for you, giving your car a new chance to be useful!

We all have off days, especially when emotions play a role. There was an emotional tie to the car because it was your mom's so it is very understandable that letting it go brought your emotions into play. I hope you have a better day today and believe that giving the car away was a very generous thing to do! Bravo to you for your generosity of spirit.
