Good morning FS Warriors!! I'm not doing a weigh in today because I am continuing my fast till Saturday, other than my foot, I am feeling pretty good. Had to go to the Dr this morning to get it seen about, the swelling was gone and the ankle felt pretty good, but my heel felt like it was on fire. Apparently I now have a case of plantar fasciitis. They measured me for a set of custom orthotics, sold me a set of premade arch supports, some tape for taping it up tight and some crazy looking splint to wear at night. So I have to do a couple of PT visits and use a foam roller to massage the bottom of my foot a couple of times a day and I'm supposed to stay off it as much as possible. They wanted to do a boot.....I just can't wear that while working so I am taking the slower healing alternative 😥 at least nothing is broken. Soooooo, since I'm not going to be doing a whole lot of moving, a 5 day fast seemed to be in order since I feel good enough to continue! You guys have a great day!!!

I had to stifle my laughter when they suggested losing weight would help it heal.........🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣......ya think?!?! Gotta love specialists who know nothing about you...where you have been and where you are going!! I did not choose to enlighten them to the fact that I have lost 78 pounds since June of last year. I really did not care for the doctor, he was very judgemental and had no empathy what so ever.

So sorry about your foot!! Must be a pain to deal with that. Good luck with the fast!

Your level of discipline in losing 78 pounds astounds me. I was able to fast for 21 days in 2022, since then I've been trying to mentally get ready for this again. It's been challenging due to all the changes and challenges women go through as we age. I'm imspired by your commitment.

Sorry to hear about your foot! I have lots to of foot issues and can relate. Once you are able to get back into shoes, try to get a pair that are made for pf support. They are expensive but so worth it. I see you got inserts so maybe that will do instead of new shoes. 💜

Yowling in sympathetic pain. Hurt worse than my double bypass. My first orthotics lasted about 5 years. New pair in early January. Like walking on air! 👟👟

That sounds quite painful. Once the inflammation is under control can you do exercises for you feet?

I had a PT appointment Friday morning, they showed me the stretches I need to do, I'm supposed to do them daily....several times a day, I have another PT appointment on Tuesday, I guess they don't need me to come in 3 times a week or anything. It's once a week for 6 weeks....I don't know that it will be needed for that long because it's feeling better just having those inserts in there....I hate that splint I have to wear at night, it's restrictive and gets caught in the sheets and wakes me up...my sleep score has dropped to 65 since I started wearing it. The therapist said I will get used to it...but I don't know about that!!!!
