flaxseed's Journal, 20 July 2011

Another grey, dour and rainy morning. When is summer ever going to appear! I'm fed up with getting wet taking the dog for his morning constitutional and the muddy footprints and smell of wet fur. There's nothing like having a wet cat wind herself round your legs either.

Eating is going very well. My head seems to be in the right place in that department at least. Elsewhere it seems to be going a bit haywire. I'm having to write myself notes and lists and even set the oven timer or things go badly pear shaped. As a 'doer' and a 'fixer' it seems really strange that I'm totally incapable of organising anything. I've found things in some very funny places and have no idea why or when I put them there. (dinner plate in the shoe rack in the glory hole under the stairs and my lost pill box turned up after 2 days in the fridge). I presume its just my body's way of coping. Another steep learning curve. I'm trying to be positive about it and I'm thankful my eating is OK.

On the Mom's house front, I've already had an offer and its only been on the market for less than a week. Estate Agent says its too low and a bit of a cheeky offer, so on her advice I've turned it down. Lets hope there are more to come.

There doesn't seem to be any let up in the rain, so its boots, brolly and waterproofs again!

Hope everyone has a happy sunny day.

All the forgetfulness is likely just the result of the stress you've been through. I know how disconcerting it can feel ... I'm the "organizer" and when I'm "disorganized" it feels very strange. We've had a strange summer as well ... feels more like fall than summer. Glad to hear your eating is going well. That is pretty wonderful!! I was chatting about you this morning with my hubby on our commute to work. He mentioned something about Scotland breaking with the British Union? Wondered what your comments would be about that. I fear I don't keep up much with international politics ... but he is an avid historian and news observer!! Take care buddy!!
