I feel stuck and frustrated lately.
My allergies have been making my life difficult, and frustrating me in terms of my food choices.
I am allergic to most mammalian meat now.....it took a long time to figure it out. I had hoped it was the hormones in the meat, but I am even allergic to grass fed, hormone free meats. I'm even allergic to bison, deer and lamb.

Sigh. At least I can still eat chicken and fish. (knock wood)

Also, another of my food allergies have gotten worse, and I went into anaphalxis over the weekend over one of them. Throat was almost completely closed at one point. Scary, but I'm none the worse for wear now. I am paranoid about it happening again, though.

I have had some issues with anemia (since I am not eating red meat) and while I am eating beans, green leafies, etc, I am still deficient enough right now to require a supplement. (Constipation blues-some of you are familiar with it).

I know it could be worse, but it depresses me. :(

I'm sorry you are having these allergy issues, I do hope you'll be able to work them out. Try to find the positive things to focus on and enjoy your evening.

I was just in a bad frame of mind yesterday. I can still eat alot of healthy food, and I need to focus on that I guess.

To help with the anemia can you cook with cast iron? Iron in every meal that way :-)

We started to, as much as possible. I just got really run down due to our schedules and a particularly bad TOM a couple months ago, and then add the meat allergy into all that, and anemia was a given outcome. Sigh. Apparently, it can take a few months to get my iron levels back to where they should be. Working out is a no-go for right now, at least until my iron is built up. And with the new pills and their strength, plus the food I'm eating that has iron in it, I am surprised not to be able to attach a magnet to my skin and have it stick. (luckily, this level of strength will be temporary and then on to a more "normal" dose pretty soon.) I am eating iron fortified cereal (and I had given up most cereal). It's more carbs than I'm used to. I cant work out until my next blood work, if it comes out okay. At this rate, my goals seem out of reach. :( It has taken so long to get here, and with all this going on, it's going to take even longer.

Oh my goodness, so scary!!! This might sound weird put what about Pedialyte? I know it's for kids but it's chocked full of iron...or something adult-equivalent....I wish you the best, sounds awful :(
