ChrisSpark's Journal, 13 October 2014

Ok, I am not even attempting to add food to the journal for the last two days. It was Thanksgiving here in the Great White North, and I decided to eat what I wanted without counting calories. I've been so good for so long, I figured I was due a splurge. That said, I did have two Thanksgiving dinners. My kind neighbor's sister invited me to their house for dinner on Sunday and the local soup kitchen had a Thanksgiving dinner today. I am very grateful to both for the kindness and generosity.
I think I still managed to stay under the day's maximum calories, about 2700, but I don't expect to see a weight loss on the scale at tomorrow morning's weigh-in. I have my weigh-in at T.O.P.S. tomorrow night too. I think I will save eating dinner until I get home from the meeting, lol. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be a gain.
All in all, I've been having a harder time keeping my calories down. I have been doing more walking but less swimming. And the pain as a result of the walking seems to lower my resistance to snacking :-( Also, I seem to be on the "eat it quick, it's spoiling" diet, lol. I buy all the good vegetables then have to eat, eat, eat, before they go bad.
Oh well, I can get back on track now, right? And I still didn't eat processed food, it was all home-cooked. That's my primary goal, staying away from chemicals and additives and to see if that improves my mood disorder and my pain.

Sounds like a great Thanksgiving! Glad you enjoyed yourself. I hate to see my veggies spoil too. I freeze and dehydrate whatever I can't eat. Regardless, nothing beats fresh! Yes, you can get right back on track. Have fun!
