Ok, I pushed myself on mileage and longer on the treadmill.. not faster...
I went 20 min without taking a break, going 3 mph-- and went 2 miles instead of 1.5-- i know that it is not much more than what I normally do.. but still an increase.. and I went 2 miles on the stationary bike tonight. I did not feel that I strained anything, but when I got home, and sat down.. my right knee (my bad one) started to hurt== pain level is at about 7... usually it hurts on a scale of a 4. (Ok folks, I have a high pain tolerance-- what co workers have told me.. my 4- is like a 7 to most.. but who knows.. you know?) I just hope that it is just a strain and nothing more..
The work out was good, whenever I face going over there.. I almost talk myself out of it.,.. but glad that I do it! Some people who see me "working" out, might laugh at me.. saying that it is not a work out.. but I am at 330 lbs-- and it is a work out.. it is getting easier, and I am sweaty, very sweaty..lol...
I really can not believe how my daily walks and biking- has affected, and effected my emotional state of being! Yes, I have my moments of depression, but they are actually moments-- (a day or two).. Usually my depression hits me, and it lasts for a week or more..
I know that I really have not hit a wall yet..with weight loss.. I am just waiting for the week, or so. .that no matter what I do I can not loose anything. Yeah, I have been at the place where I have not lost any weight for a day or two, or gained weight.. but the following day or two, I am back loosing it. Is it that I feel full- not really "striving" my body.. not sure.. not looking for trouble either. you know?
Boy, it seems like my mind is all over the place..lol...Hope all is well..

Btw.. my treadmill, stationary bike, and hiking.. I just past the 50 mile "marker"-- (50.2 miles) since 5/15

You are doing great! Don't worry about the plateaus - they will most likely happen. I had one last almost four weeks, felt I was doing everything right and just wasn't losing. Then in one week I dropped a little over 6 lbs. So, I think your body sometimes just needs to re-calibrate to what you're doing. Keep up the great work, but take it easy on that knee.

You're doing really great, working hard and overcoming obstacles on the journey. At some point you'll probably hit a plateau, from what everyone says that's common. I'm at my first one it seems. But when you know you've been doing the right things it's just a number on the scale, there are other measures of progress. Keep up the good work!

Keep up the activity, you're doing great! And don't fret about what you think other people are thinking. From my experience, they really aren't paying much mind to what your workout is as their mind is on their own workout. Get outta your head about it and just 'run your own race' so to speak. I look forward to hearing more about your progress.

I'm sure you already know the stats on weight loss and lousy knees. But just in case... For each lb. you lose, you lose 4lbs. of pressure. You've lost 40lbs, which comes to 160lb. Excellent. Keep up the good work and just go a little slower on the exercising. But the bike is the best for knees... been there, done that. IMO, Might be a good idea to back off the walking for a while.

That "after glow" following an exercise session is something to aim for. I struggle with shin splints so I pause to stretch and warm up my very short calves and shins. Afterwards, I ask, "Am I glad I did this?" The answer is ALWAYS "You bet!"

Keep it up!!! Be nice to your knees !! My ortho doc was threatening me with a knee replacement unless I lost 50 pounds and started exercising, walking and strength training. I was living on pain killers, also with a high pain tolerance. 1 1/2 years later I've lost the 50 pounds and exercise {all low impact}. My knee rarely hurts, I rarely take and aspirin for the leg pain. Now I did twist one leg working on my yard and that still hurts but that is from a specific cause, not a constant daily pain. If I keep it up maybe no knee replacement in my future. My cane hangs on my bathroom shower rod as a daily reminder not something I use every morning!! What a difference it has made in my life!! Hope you will see a huge difference as well.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the encouragement.. Classic..I did not realize that at all, really Thanks for the info! Yeah, it is hard for me not to walk.. hard in getting started though, and even though I have pain at the end- unlike last night- I feel good. SO it is kind of hard to balance, do I want to feel good and have the pain-- or feel kind of blue if I don't and no pain.. yeah- when I miss the following day I can tell the difference in my emotional state...
