So I am losing inches and not pounds....I used to be more upset about this, but in the grand scheme of things, I am cool with it...at least today LOL. I have lost almost 3 inches off my stomach in the last 3 weeks, and you can see a line where my obliques are now, which is super cool, and I have gone from an Apple to more of a Pear shape, so that is something to celebrate in my opinion. :) BUT...

I have been in a size gap for awhile now..16's way too big, but I dumbly bought pants in a 14misses and they are too small. Didnt even think that I needed a 14W (duh!)....I have 2 pairs of pants (14W) that fit now and that's it. My hips are a whole size smaller, and have been, but my stomach is still too big for the 'small" pants. Ugh.

So, I pulled on the 14 Misses pants last night and I can BUTTON AND ZIP them now.....however, I cannot as yet sit, move or breathe while wearing them. The rest of me has shrunk alot, but that belly just doesnt want to go the hell away!!!!

I figure another 2-3inches off the belly and I will be in a Misses 14 comfortably...think it's feasible for me to hope that they would fit by Memorial Day? lol

Who cares about pounds when you LOOK smaller and can wear size 14 pants! Sounds like you are making good progress :)

I had no idea there was such a difference in 14misses and 14W size-wise. At least, for the way I am built. It's so nice to have a waistline again..a noticeable one. :)

Wow... I am jealous. 3" off your waist. Wonderful. Since I joined the challenge not to weigh myself, I am finding that the numbers aren't as important as they once were. My clothes tell me what's happening. You're obviously working out, the body is shrinking, the clothes are getting bigger, so that's a fine sign you're doing everything right. Anyway, scales lie.

Oh, yea..my scale is a lying bastard. Just this morning, it hit 2lbs less than my last weigh in, then 1/2 second later, jumped back to the 183 I weighed 5 days ago. Ugh. I am working out, and the abs I think was because of me trying one of my hubby's Tap Out Abs DVDs, a couple of times so far...its MMA and its intense, but I am determined to get that belly to shrink!

Your post then subsequent response is too funny. I'm cool losing inches and not pounds then you call your scale a lying bastard. Thank you the laugh.

Some of us reach a point where the weight won't go any lower. But we can still workout and change our bodies. Your post is encouraging. Be proud.

Hello...this a "way late" comment after doing some browsing of FS posts; free for the "no asking" and just something that has worked incredibly well for me. Two months ago, now, I did some "reading" about the potential benefits of those things called "probiotics" that are added or contained within most yogurts. The preponderance of claims from different sources spoke to the benefit to those of us who need to lose "belly fat." Since I was one of them, I worked with their information and performed an experiment on myself. Within several weeks, I could feel the difference in waist size by the way my clothes fit. Most yogurts, especially "Greek", contain cultures that actively eat away a the fat of a person's belly. The claim was, that a person could maintain their current habits, start the daily yogurt practice, and lose inches off their belly. I tried it this way for the first month without changing diet. It worked for me!! I really thought it be a somewhat of a body "miracle." Then, I began to diet, and within three months, I've lost corresponding 3 inches off my waist and have a distinct pear shape--even the semble of a 6-pack (I'm a male). So, there you go. Its working for me. You might consider it.
