Finally - another stubborn pound is gone. I am now back down to what I weighed in July. Small victory - but will celebrate nonetheless.
I feel amazingly relaxed today considering my schedule. I took the morning off to go to my dentist and annual gyn appointment. Which brings me to a revelation of just how stressful thing have become at work - because I never dreamed there would come a day when I'd rather go to the dentist and/or gynecologist than work! No wonder I'd been stress eating!!!
PS - my day just got better. I was given some "real" eggs. Just had one for breakfast and it was a double yolker - how lucky was that!

Woo Hoo on getting back to where you were...Yeah you need a break from the stress...have they started looking for you another assistant??..
You may have to get a raise if your doing more than a one person job..
Hope all goes well at your appointments today...:O)

Bren - they finally hired a person last month - he is young and a quick learner. But more of his time is spent assisting the manager rather than assisting me. If I don't get a raise after my annual review I've got some serious decisions to make.

Great on the pound point. I am again yo yoing. I think it will drop eventually. Then again eating a Whopper Jr isn't really helpful. Oh well,

WOO HOO! HASTA LA VISTA, YOU STUBBORN POUND!
The Dentist over work...(I cant really speak to the other....)
Hmmmm...
I went through really tough times from December 2011 until around November of 2012 and I definitely did stress eat. I don't drink or do any drugs (anymore, hee hee, Im certainly no saint) so food gave me comfort. I can relate, and II hope the work thing gets better. If not, as hard as it sounds, maybe move on??

Mikecontos - Great advice - I either have to move on mentally or move on physically.

Yummy! I went to gyn yesterday. No trip in the park that is for sure. Hopefully work will get better for you real soon. I love my job but don't want to be there anymore.

When work is worse than a dentist and (or - or) a gyn appointment, it's time for a vacation. I hope work gets better for you soon! I don't know if it helps to sometimes show anger or not. I showed some anger yesterday when someone high up told me that he was a "personally peeved" that I wasn't at work Thursday or Friday (when I was on leave). I told him that I thought his feelings were misdirected - that he should be peeved at the people who should have gotten the document to me weeks earlier for my review rather than past the last moment. I pointed out that I had a miserable weekend getting the work done (which is a total gift to the State - I didn't say that, but it does add insult to injury). I don't know if I did the right thing or not, but sometimes it's important not to be a doormat (but, as I said, I don't know if I messed up). Consider if saying how unfair it is will benefit you. You have to keep in mind the personalities you're dealing with, however.
