Okay, so this weekend I went to Reno. They have many buffets...Not a good thing. I am not looking forward to weighing on Thursday. Also, I am going to NY for a week, so I don't even want to start detox. I know I had better find a way to keep it together. I know that they scale is going to reflect my 3 days of buffet eating.

Buffets are a killer! I always over indulge in Vegas. Cleaning up the eating should get you back on track quickly:)

At least you didn't shoot a man there just to watch him die :)

Just try sticking to the detox as much as you can before you have to leave and just remember your portion size - this may help you to maintain the weight that you've already lost.

You are doing just great! Don't be so hard on yourself, so you had a splurge of a weekend, it happens and we all do it, just get back on track. With all the issues that I have had these past couple months I have come to realize that we are all way too hard on ourselves, we are doing great and as long as you feel good about it then you are just fine! I have also found that as long as you watch your portion size you will be just fine. With out exercising and eating the right foods in the past 2 months I expected to gain all the weight that I have lost, but because of the portion control I have not. You can do this, just watch the sizes that your eating!

I know what you mean about buffets...it seems like when we see the word "buffet" we're supposed to gorge ourselves as if we won't get to eat for days...like everyone has said, portion control...just b/c it says "all you can eat" doesn't mean we have to "eat all we can eat". Have a great trip!!

This may be soooo old school and you have heard it before but I SWEAR to you it works: Drink a big glass of water before you go down to eat. I like to take my vitamin C or B vitamins with it. I can't drink really cold water because it's harder for me to chug so I do cool tap water and I just slam, if I don't feel sick I'll slam another glass. This really helps me not over eat. Good luck. I know eating out is super hard for me too, I really suck at self control. So don't beat yourself up, I bet if you've gained from the weekend in Reno a lot of it is sodium and water retention. You can do this!!!!!!!!

The truth is...I went to Reno knowing that I was going to hit up the buffet. I just thought it would only be ONE time! But the water is a great trick for other food temptations. Thanks!

Here is how I kicked my buffet addiction. I saw a report on 20/20 where they investigated the sanittary condition of buffets and found fecal matter on several tongs in these tpye restaurants. It stopped me cold turkey. I apologize in advance if I grossed you out.
