mossum's Journal, 12 August 2010

Well my little experiment yesterday ... meh. While the blended soup was delicious, I was STARving by the end of the day! So...

soup + SlimFast = ravenous
SlimFast + SlimFast = just fine

Go figure.

Not really "diet" related, but I have been having headaches and my TMJ is driving me nuts. I'm grinding my teeth a lot. Lots of tension. So I thought I'd try going without my 3 cups of half-caff coffee for a few days and instead had green tea this morning. Naturally, I ended up with a wicked headache around noon so I popped a few Ibuprofen and am having a glass of iced tea now (with caffeine). I was still grinding my teeth, so I'll keep it up a few more days and see if I can dial that down a little.

I've been noticing that at least once a day my jaw kinda mis-aligns while I talk and makes me clash my teeth together. I'm not digging all the side affects of TMJ syndrome. Hope your headaches go away!

Hi Mimi, I really though soup may help quell hunger, bummer it didn't appear to work for you. Lately I have been focusing on "Real Hunger" and right now I am feeling it. I just blended some soup and will heat it up and see if it will bring me to that "just enough" comfort level. I wonder how many hours it may keep me until I am hugry again. Please take care of yourself and whatever is causing tension in your life I hope you find a way to make yourself transparent to it. TOWANDA!!!

I'm wondering if the soup didn't stick because it was a watery to begin with, therefore mostly water in your system = hungry. I make the SS tomato soup often but it is mostly pureed tomatos/onions/broth/cream. It's very thick and filling.
